For the second time, Express-Interfracht participated together with the companies of the Speditions Holding Group and Rail Cargo Austria at the fair “Transport & Logistics”, which was held in Sofia.

Allthough the congestion of visitors was low, the stand of Express-Interfracht was in the center of all business congregations.

Not only the Bulgarian minister of transportation showed his interest in our business activities, but also a lot of our Bulgarian customers were willing to put up a long distance of travel to talk to our competent employees about possibilites for transportation.

During the last couple of weeks, changes among our subsidiaries have taken place in 3 countries.

In Romania, Express-Interfracht Romania SRL was established due to the merger of Express Romania srl and Lackner & Schwarz s.r.l. Express-Interfracht Romania SRL provides a wide range of freight forwarding services including railway transportation, road shipments, container traffic and warehousing for the Romanian market.

In the Czech Republic, Express-Interfracht mezinárodní spedice CZ emanated from the consolidation of our entities in Brno, Olomouc and Praha. Express-Interfracht CZ offers all kind of transportation, whereas the activities in Brno have a strong focus on project-business.

Express-Interfracht Hellas S.A. is our new brand in Greece. Up to now successfully operating as BalconRail Logistics on the Greek market, our subsidiary is acting under the new company name Express-Interfracht Hellas S.A. The high standard of services will be maintained anyway. Express-Interfracht Hellas S.A. is specialized in the handling of shipments by rail.

“Transport a Logistika” in Brno and the “47th European Commodity Exchange” in Antwerp were the last two important exhibitinos for Express-Interfracht-Group in 2007.

Beside the new trade fair “Transport & Logistics” in Sofia, Express-Interfracht was represented together with it’s subsidiaries and sister companies at the traditional fair at Munich as well as at the events in Brno and last but not least Antwerp.

Numerous constructive discussions have confirmed Express-Interfracht’s strategy to take part at the most important European transport-exhibitions to offer taylor-made transport solutions for interested customers at face.

The most important exibithion in 2007, the transport logistic in Munich, which was held from 12th until 15th of June 2007, was a complete success for the Express-Interfracht-Group. The new concept for the trade fair stand, which was operated und implemented together with the companies of Speditions Holding and Rail Cargo Austria, was highly appreciated by our costumers, partners and the media.

Beside numerous constructive discussions in the course of the trade fair, after closing time, we offered “Heurigen-music” and Austrian delicacies and took the opportunity to change ideas with our costumers in a relaxed atmosphere.

Express-Interfracht presented it’s wide range of logistic services every day of the fair, according to the focus of the day. Thus, Express-Interfracht was able to contribute to improve and optimize logistic solutions of our costumers.

From 27th until 30th of April 2007, the international trade fair “Warehouse Transport Logistics” was held in Athens.

The trade fair stand of Express-Interfracht, which was operated together with BalconRail Logistics, AgroFreight and Rail Cargo Austria as well as other Speditions Holding-companies, was visited well and spotlight of numerous constructive conversations with costumers.

Already in 2006, Express-Interfracht took over the shares of Irun based freight forwarding company Burgysped S.l. About one year later, Express-Interfracht is able to look upon the market entry in Spain favorably.

The company Burgysped was established in 1995 by Francois Burgy and his wife Ana Maria Crespo. In the meantime, 8 employees are working for Burgysped, which was able to increase it's sales in 2006 over € 10 Mio.

The speciality of Burgysped are full truck loads, especially from Northern Spain (Irun, Pamplona, Bilbao, Vitoria) to several destinations in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland as well as the BENELUX-states. In total, 700 complete loads are handled monthly. Additionally, the company is focussing on transports to Eastern European countries. Complemetary to the full truck loads, groupage services are offered. Of course, Burgysped provides the opportunity of storage for goods, operating a 2.000 m2 warehouse in Irun. The range of services offered by Burgysped is completed by customs declaration.

The clientele of Burgysped consists of some well-known companies, whereas the lagerst customers can be found in the steel industry. Quality is of utmost importance for Burgysped. The company trusts in experienced staff, who have been working in the freight forwarding business for many years. The activities in quality management are documented in the ISO 9002-certification, which was awarded first time in 1999.

By the way, there has been a partnership between Burgysped and Express-Interfracht since 2004, when Express-Interfracht’s department for road transportation based in Wels started to collaborate closely with Burgysped. The takeover in 2006 has been a win-win situation for both companies. Managing director Edo Begic and General director Fracois Burgy are happy about the present development and optimistic to be able to offer additional attractive transportation solutions for the costumers of the Express-Interfracht group in the future.

Express-Interfracht has been active on Poland's logistics market via it's subsidiary Express Polska Sp.Z.o.o. for many years.
To fulfill our customer's needs, Express Polska has built a modern logistics center in the central Polish city Konin which was opend ceremonially in the course of an event with customers and partners. The data are self-explanatory: with 6.000 m² covered warehouse, other 10.000 m² space for outdoor storage, Express Polska takes the warehousing for all kinds of goods. The new warehouse is conveniently placed as regards transport facilities - a side track connects the logistcs center with the railway-line Kunowice - Teresol, for road shipments highway 25 offers a perfect conjunction to the Polish North-South-tangent.
On the appr. 7 hectare large real estate, there is also a silo with a capacity up to 13.000 tons of agricultural goods.

It’s already a fine tradition that Express-Interfracht Internationale Spedition GmbH takes part in the European Commodity Exchange, which was held in Turin this year.

The stand, which was promoted together with partner-companies of the Speditions Holding-Group, espacially AgroFreight, had lots of visits right from the start of the Exchange until the end of the day. As always, there were held interesting and constructive conversations with costumers and partners.

Timber deserves good treatment - that's the motto, which has made Express Interfracht to a reliable partner for the Austrian and International Timber industry for many decades.

Together with the timber-specialists of the Speditions Holding GmbH, amongst others BrnoTrans Eurail, ProRail and its subsidiary Express Slovakia, Express-Interfracht was represented by a competent team at the International Timber Trade Fair in Klagenfurt from August, 30, until September, 3rd.

The Exchange for agricultural products, based in Vienna, organised the 1st international DanubeExchange in Vienna, which became a complete success.

Main focus of this event was the regulated trade of agricultural products in Central and Eastern Europe. Express-Interfracht is one of the few companies having expertise in inland navigation. Not only for this reason, a lot of constructive conversations with costumers and partners were hold during this day.

From 2006-05-19 to 2006-05-22 the international trade fair "Transport&Logistics" was held for the second time in Thessaloniki.

The stand of Speditions Holding GmbH and Rail Cargo Austria AG, represented by EXPRESS-INTERFRACHT, BALCONRAIL, CHEMFREIGHT, EXPRESS-INTERFRACHT Germany, EXPRESS Romania, EXPRESS Slovakia, ICA, ÖKOMBI and TCL, was attended frequently and meeting point for numerous constructive conversations with customers.

Express-Interfracht was able to establish itself on the increasing markets in Eastern- and Southeastern Europe. At the same time, the company also invested in the Austrian domestic market.

Latest example therefore is the opening of an new branch-office in Salzburg-Bergheim. Express-Interfracht will operate road shipments connecting France and Spain from this location.
